Virtual Staging

Help vacant rooms feel ready to live in.

Add digital furniture and decor to selected listing photos so buyers can picture how empty spaces might function, without the logistics and expense of physical staging.

Available as a photo-enhancement add-on to House Fly listing photography. Serving East Tennessee.

What is Virtual Staging?

Virtual Staging adds digital furniture and decor to selected photographs of vacant or sparsely furnished rooms.

It helps buyers understand a room's purpose, scale, and potential by showing how living spaces, bedrooms, dining areas, and other key rooms might look when furnished.

No furniture delivery. No on-site setup. No physical staging appointment.

How the process works

Step 1

Book your House Fly photography.

Add Virtual Staging to Photos, Photos + Drone, or Zillow Showcase Media Package.

Step 2

Receive your edited gallery.

Review the finished photography and choose the exact images that will benefit most from staging.

Step 3

Send your selections and direction.

Provide the image numbers, desired room use, and any relevant style preferences.

Step 4

Receive your staged images.

Completed images are delivered by the next business day after final selections and complete instructions are received.

What this adds to your listing

Help buyers see how the room could work

Give empty spaces a recognizable purpose while providing visual cues for furniture placement, seating, and everyday use.

Give vacant listings a warmer first impression

Help key rooms feel more inviting when unfurnished spaces appear cold, small, or difficult to interpret online.

Give agents a polished alternative to physical staging

Create a furnished presentation for the rooms that matter most without coordinating furniture rental, delivery, setup, or removal.

When to add Virtual Staging

Virtual Staging is especially useful when:

  • The home is vacant or only lightly furnished.
  • Empty rooms feel colder online than they do in person.
  • Buyers may struggle to understand a room's purpose or scale.
  • A key living space needs a stronger lifestyle presentation.
  • The seller wants a furnished marketing look without physical staging.
  • Only a few priority rooms need additional visual context.

When it may not be the right fit

You may not need Virtual Staging when:

  • The home is already staged or attractively furnished.
  • The room's existing furniture presents the space effectively.
  • Visible repairs or maintenance issues need to be addressed first.
  • The property has no interior spaces, such as vacant land.
  • The image only needs object removal, twilight conversion, or another targeted retouch.

How agents use staged images

  • Feature staged versions of priority rooms in the MLS where permitted.
  • Pair staged images with the original photographs for transparency.
  • Use them in property websites, email campaigns, and social posts.
  • Include them in seller updates and listing presentations.
  • Help buyers imagine alternate uses for flexible or undefined spaces.
  • Combine Virtual Staging with other photo enhancements from the same order.
